Biography

Dr. Ali Mostafavi is the Zachry Endowed Associate Professor, the Director of the UrbanResilience.AI Lab at Texas A&M and also a distinguished partner at the Institute for Disaster Resilient Texas (IDRT). He received his Ph.D. in civil engineering from Purdue University. His research and expertise is centered around infrastructure and community resilience with a focus on artificial intelligence and disaster informatics. He is a member of multiple national and international working groups and committees focusing on artificial intelligence for disaster resilience. He is the author/co-author of 200 journal articles and several conference proceedings.
