Biography
John Nielsen-Gammon is a professor of atmospheric sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M University and also serves as the Texas State Climatologist and Director of the Southern Regional Climate Center. He has written several articles and other publications on a variety of topics including drought drives, precipitation, and climate change impacts on hurricanes. He has been the principal investigator on several research projects and was awarded The Editor's Award by the American Meteorological Society in 2015.
