Biography
In 2001-2002, Dr. Berry conducted significant health care service research as a visiting scientist at Mayo Clinic, which inspired his book, "Management Lessons from Mayo Clinic" (2008). His field research has included work at Gundersen Health System, ThedaCare, Bellin Health System, and Henry Ford Health. In addition to his role at Mays Business School, Dr. Berry is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Denmark’s Faculty of Health Sciences. Dr. Berry has authored 13 books, including "Discovering the Soul of Service" and "On Great Service," and numerous academic articles. Dr. Berry, a former national president of the American Marketing Association, founded the Center for Retailing Studies at Texas A&M in 1982 and directed it until 2000.
