Jon Hagler, a 1958 Texas A&M University graduate will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters degree during Texas A&M spring commencement exercises Friday (May 15).

The Texas A&M Veteran Resource and Support Center is recognizing three College of Liberal Arts staff and faculty members for their contributions to the university’s veteran-friendly campus.

Eight commencement exercises will be conducted on the main campus during a four-day span.

The Board of Regents of Texas A&M University named Dr. Pamela R. Matthews the new dean of the College of Liberal Arts.

The Office of the President and the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs will welcome guests on campus for Parents’ Weekend for open houses.

Dr. X. Ben Wu, Presidential Professor for Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M University, is a winner of the 2015 Southeastern Conference Faculty Achievement Award.

Five Texas A&M University faculty members have been appointed as “University Distinguished Professors.”

The contribution will support the construction of the Engineering Education Complex (EEC).
